Cost: $1,750 Team Members Needed

The team will arrive in Santo Domingo on Saturday where we will spend a night. On Sunday we will travel west (3-4 hrs.) to San Juan de la Maguana, where we will stay in a guesthouse with dormitory style lodging, which accommodates Christian volunteer teams. The guesthouse is accustomed to caring for Americans and will provide linens, towels, and a laundry service. Meals will also be served at the guesthouse. An established medical clinic is also located there on the premises. Each day the team will travel to various villages in poor areas and hold medical clinics. We will return to Santo Domingo on Friday for sightseeing and then fly home on Saturday.
The team members will be mostly Clemson University School of Nursing graduate nurse practitioner and undergraduate nursing students who will manage the clinics under the supervision of the team physician, Keith Scott, MD, their professor, Stephanie Davis, PhD, RN, FNP, BC., Jennifer Rice, DNP, FNP-BC, Megan Kyle, MS, RN, FNP. Dr. Scott is a Family Physician and an Emergency Room Director. Dr. Davis is a practicing nurse practitioner. Ms. Kyle is a practicing nurse practitioner and a clinical nursing instructor at Clemson University. Other team members are welcome based on space availability.
