May 16-29, 2020
Early Estimated Trip Cost: $3000
Team Medical Leader: Dr. Jeff Bailey
There are only 10 spots available for this trip. Priority will be given to licensed medical professionals (MDs, RNs, NPs, PAs, etc.) and up to 3 non-medical professionals will be accepted. VIMM team members will be partnering with another U.S. based non-profit organization for this medical mission. Helping the poor in Vietnam is important. 4/10 children born in impoverished villages die before their first birthday, from mostly treatable diseases.
Medical personnel will work with interns from the school of medicine in Hue, providing treatment to the poor in minority villages within three hours of the university. Students will assist us with translation and medical treatment. This trip will provide life-changing servant leadership opportunities in Vietnam – team members should be willing to empower the poor and engage in cultural and educational exchange with the Vietnamese people.
**Note: all medical personnel must submit a copy of their passport, medical license, CV or resume, and diplomas to the VIMM office approximately three months prior to the trip. This will enable us to have Vietnamese medical recognition and licenses.**
